Plumbing, electrical, and home-repair demand in Nepal is local, urgent, and closes on call or WhatsApp. Brochures and brand films do not replace Google Business Profile, service landings, and clean Search accounts.

Home services digital marketing playbook for Nepal

1. Maps and service pages first

Categories, hours, service-area honesty, review workflow, and area/service H1s. Fake second-city addresses break trust and policy.

Google Business Profile checklist

  • Primary category that matches the main trade (for example “Plumber” rather than a generic “Contractor”).
  • Service-area business settings if you visit customers and do not receive them at an office; list the areas you really cover.
  • Hours including emergency availability, and special hours for public holidays.
  • Services list with plain names customers use (“geyser repair”, “water tank cleaning”).
  • Photos of real jobs and staff, added regularly, not stock images.
  • Review workflow: send a short request by SMS or WhatsApp after each completed job, and reply to every review, especially negative ones.

One page per trade and area

Build a page for each main service (plumbing, electrical, appliance repair) and, where you genuinely operate, for key areas. Each page needs the service, the areas covered, an NPR price range or call-out fee, response times, and a tap-to-call button. Avoid near-identical pages that only swap the area name.

2. Search: stop waste before scale

Split by trade/intent, mine negatives, put NPR ranges and WhatsApp on landings — sequence on the Ads case.

Typical negative keywords for trades include job, vacancy, salary, training, course, how to, DIY, price list pdf, and wholesale or “supplier” terms if you only do repairs. Use call ads or call extensions during working hours, and schedule bids higher at times when you can actually answer.

3. WhatsApp and offline jobs

Treat chat and completed jobs as the conversion truth where possible; Ads “form fills” alone mislead.

A first WhatsApp reply should confirm the problem, ask for the location and a photo, and offer a visit time. For example: “Namaste! Thanks for contacting us about the leaking pipe. Could you share your area and a photo of the leak? We can usually visit the same day.” Log each enquiry with its source and whether it became a job, so you can tell which campaigns bring paying work.

4. SEO companion discipline

Local SEO method and figures stay on the local SEO case. Pair with local SEO Nepal and GBP for process checklists — not invented lead % lifts.
