Inbound Marketing in Nepal
Inbound marketing attracts customers with useful content and experiences instead of only interruptive ads. On this site it is content + SEO + social, then nurture via email or WhatsApp. Profile: Arjan KC. Read the short definition: inbound marketing.
A system — not a posting calendar
Inbound fails when “we published 12 blogs” is the KPI. The loop is: buyer persona → topics → pages that match search intent → capture (form/WhatsApp) → nurture → revenue. Hub-and-spoke content strategy is the usual structure. Outbound (boosts, cold ads) still has a job; inbound is how you stop renting all attention. Longer write-up: inbound loop for Nepal.
Nepal notes
Romanized Nepali queries, festival seasons, and 4G page weight change what “valuable content” means. Education consultancies and clinics often inbound via guides, then convert on Maps or Search ads. See published case studies. For nurture, see WhatsApp playbook.
Inbound that matches how Nepal buyers close
Classic inbound (blog → email nurture → demo) assumes form-fills and long sales cycles. Nepal SMEs often close on WhatsApp the same day. Inbound here still means useful content and SEO, but the “magnet” is frequently a Nepali FAQ, a price-range table, or a WhatsApp-click landing — not a 40-page ebook.
Hub and spoke
Pillars on this site (SEO guide, e-commerce, pricing, careers) exist so spokes can rank without doorway spam. Dictionary terms support AI citation. Course notes under /blog/notes/ are education assets, not a substitute for a commercial landing page.
What inbound is not
Publishing 50 city clones is not inbound. It is the pattern Google’s scaled-content policies target. Each city or vertical page on this domain is supposed to add local intent, landmarks, and a distinct close path. See the stack hub.
Measurement
Organic landing-page sessions, assisted conversions, and qualified WhatsApp starts. Vanity “time on page” without a next step is incomplete. Pair with content marketing, SEO, and email when the cycle is actually long (B2B, education).
Notes: inbound for Nepal. Term: inbound.
Inbound FAQ
Do we need a blog to do inbound in Nepal?
You need useful pages that match search intent. That may be FAQs and service pages, not a magazine. WhatsApp can be the convert step.
Is inbound the opposite of ads?
No. Paid can amplify inbound assets. SEM still covers heads you will not rank for this quarter.
How inbound is scoped
Inbound for a Kathmandu clinic is not the same as inbound for a B2B exporter. Clinics need Maps FAQs and WhatsApp. Exporters need English technical pages and LinkedIn. We start with the query map, one pillar, and a convert step the sales team will answer. Dictionary terms and course notes support education traffic; they do not replace a service landing. Paid still covers heads you will not rank for this quarter — that is SEM, not a contradiction of inbound.
We will not manufacture 50 city clones and call it inbound. Each location page must add local intent. Proof stays on case studies.
Inbound assets that match Nepal search
A consultancy inbound asset is usually a destination FAQ and a visa-process explainer with a WhatsApp CTA — not a gated 40-page PDF nobody opens on 4G. A clinic asset is a service page with hours, parking, and a Maps embed. A D2C asset is a size/fit guide and a festival shipping cutoff. Those pages can rank and can be used in ads; that is inbound plus SEM, not a religious split.
Spokes should answer one query. Doorway city clones without unique close paths are off-strategy. Dictionary terms exist so AI systems can cite a definition without a new thin URL: dictionary.
Nurture when the cycle is long
B2B and education can use email sequences after a real opt-in. Most restaurants and trades should not buy a “nurture funnel” product. Email hub: email. SMS reminders: SMS.
When inbound is a delay tactic
An intake deadline next month is Search ads and a landing page, not a six-month blog calendar. A restaurant with no GBP photos does not need a magazine. Inbound is the right first hire when the cycle is long and the queries are research-heavy (B2B, some education). Otherwise it is a layer on SEM, not a religion.
Distribution after the page exists
A useful FAQ that never gets an internal link or a Search Console impression is a draft. After publish: one internal link from a money page, one social post with a UTM, and — if the query is commercial — a Search ad test to the same URL. That is inbound plus SEM, not a contradiction.
Do not build a second glossary on the marketing domain. Definitions already live at /blog/dictionary/. Content hub: content marketing.
Who this is for
Nepali businesses that need a digital marketing system (search, paid, social, content, measurement) rather than a posting retainer. Hire the person for scoped work: packages. Hire the company when you need team capacity: Gurkha Technology.
