Learning Objectives

  • Apply one consistent transition style
  • Add purposeful entrance/emphasis animations with timing
  • Configure Set Up Slide Show and Presenter View
  • Rehearse timings and (optionally) record narration
  • Export PDF and verify master branding before delivery

1) Transitions

  1. Select a slide → Transitions.
  2. Prefer Fade or Push; duration ≈ 0.5–0.7 s.
  3. Apply to All so the deck feels coherent.
  4. Avoid random transition styles per slide.

2) Animations

  1. Select object/text → Animations gallery (Entrance / Emphasis / Exit).
  2. Open Animation Pane to reorder.
  3. Start options: On Click, With Previous, After Previous.
  4. Lab pattern: Agenda bullets Wipe From Left, After Previous, 0.3–0.4 s delay between items.
  5. SmartArt: one Fly In / Pulse On Click — not every node separately unless required.

Rule: if you will not talk about it, do not animate it.

3) Slide Show Setup

Kiosk mode + recorded timings is for unattended loops (Set B asks you to try it, then switch back).

4) Rehearse Timings and Narration

  1. Slide Show → Rehearse Timings — click through; note total length (target 5–7 minutes for Unit 4 practical).
  2. Keep or discard timings when prompted.
  3. Record Slide Show (optional): speak short segments; re-record weak slides only.
  4. Use a quiet room; narration is optional for most PRC 110 continuous assessments unless your faculty requires it.

5) Speaker Notes and Export

  1. Click Notes pane under the slide; write at least one sentence you will say.
  2. In Presenter View, notes appear on your screen only.
  3. File → Export → Create PDF/XPS for submission archives.
  4. Final check: master logo/footer, hyperlinks in Slide Show, animations not stalling on click.

  • PDF export saved beside the .pptx
