Session 19: On-Page Fixes & Prioritization Frameworks
Block 3: The Real-World Technical SEO/SEM Audit (A3)
View lecture slides: Session 19 Slides
1-Hour Lecture (Theory & Strategy)
- Not all fixes matter equally. Use an Impact vs. Effort score (1–5 each) to rank action items — high impact/low effort fixes go first (“quick wins”).
- On-page fix categories: title tags & meta descriptions, header structure (H1/H2), internal linking, image alt text, content depth/freshness.
- Read the full theory here: On-Page SEO and Off-Page SEO (for context on what on-page fixes can and can’t fix alone).
- Communicating priorities to a non-technical stakeholder: translate “fix H1 tags” into “improves how clearly Google understands your top pages, low effort, do this week.”
1-Hour Lab (Agency Execution)
- Take your Session 17 technical findings and Session 18 keyword gaps. List every fix as a single action item.
- Score each item 1–5 on Impact and 1–5 on Effort. Calculate a simple priority score (Impact − Effort, or Impact/Effort ratio).
- Sort into three buckets: Do this week (quick wins), Do this quarter (bigger projects), Backlog (low priority).
- Write a one-line, plain-English justification for each of your top 5 “Do this week” items.
