Assignment 6: Email Marketing Campaign

Objective

Build an email marketing foundation by designing a lead magnet and writing a 3-part welcome sequence to nurture new subscribers.

Instructions

  1. Platform & Lead Magnet
    • Platform: Set up a free account (Mailchimp, Sender, etc.).
    • Lead Magnet: Create a simple resource (e.g., Checklist, PDF Guide) to attract subscribers.
    • Opt-in: Design a simple sign-up form or landing page.
  2. Welcome Sequence (3 Emails)
    • Email 1 (Immediate): Deliver the Lead Magnet + Welcome.
    • Email 2 (Day 2): Provide value (tip/story) + Introduce yourself.
    • Email 3 (Day 4): Soft sell or invitation to connect further.

Deliverables

Submit a single PDF document containing:

  • Lead Magnet: Link or screenshot of your resource.
  • Opt-in Form: Screenshot of your sign-up form.
  • Welcome Sequence:
    • Subject lines for all 3 emails.
    • Full body copy for all 3 emails.
    • Screenshots of them set up in your email platform.

Submission Guidelines

  • Format: PDF
  • Naming: M6-Assignment-YourName.pdf
  • Due: End of Module 6
  • Submit via: Google Classroom

Evaluation Criteria (10 points)

  • Lead Magnet (3 pts): Valuable resource with a clear hook.
  • Setup (2 pts): Working platform setup and professional form design.
  • Email Copy (5 pts): Engaging, human-centered copy with clear CTAs in the 3-part sequence.
