Assignment 3: Content Strategy & Creation

Objective

Develop a cohesive content strategy, plan a 2-week calendar, and produce high-quality content pieces to launch your digital presence.

Instructions

  1. Content Strategy (Pillars & Personas)
    • Pillars: Define 3-4 core content pillars (themes) for your brand.
    • Personas: Create 1 detailed audience persona (who are you talking to?).
    • Voice: Briefly describe your brand voice (e.g., professional, witty, educational).
  2. Content Calendar (2 Weeks)
    • Create a content calendar for 2 weeks (minimum 6-8 posts).
    • Include: Date, Platform, Content Pillar, Format, and Topic/Hook.
    • Ensure a mix of formats (e.g., educational, behind-the-scenes, promotional).
  3. Content Creation
    • Produce 2 high-quality pieces of content from your calendar.
    • Piece 1: Visual/Graphic (e.g., Instagram Carousel, Infographic).
    • Piece 2: Text/Video (e.g., Blog post, Short video/Reel, or detailed LinkedIn post).
    • Ensure all content has compelling copy, hashtags, and clear CTAs.

Deliverables

Submit a single PDF document containing:

  • Strategy Overview: Pillars, Persona, and Voice.
  • Content Calendar: Screenshot or table of your 2-week plan.
  • Produced Content:
    • Screenshots/Links to the 2 created pieces.
    • The actual copy/captions used.
    • Visuals used.

  • Format: PDF
  • Naming: M3-Assignment-YourName.pdf
  • Due: End of Module 3
  • Submit via: Google Classroom

Evaluation Criteria (15 points)

  • Strategy (5 pts): Clear, relevant pillars and well-defined audience persona.
  • Calendar (5 pts): Organized 2-week plan with variety and strategic timing.
  • Content Quality (5 pts): Professional visuals, engaging copy, and platform-appropriate formatting for the 2 produced pieces.
