The visual style of your text.
Typeface
- Serif: Times New Roman (Traditional)
- Sans-Serif: Arial, Calibri (Modern)
Size & Style
- Body: 11-12 pt
- Headings: 14-18 pt
- **Bold**, *Italic*, Underline
Shortcut: `Ctrl + D` opens Font Dialog.
ΒΆ Paragraph Formatting
Alignment
- LEFT (`Ctrl + L`): Standard for body text.
- CENTER (`Ctrl + E`): Titles and headings.
- RIGHT (`Ctrl + R`): Dates, signatures.
- JUSTIFY (`Ctrl + J`): Newspapers, formal reports.
π Spacing & Indentation
Line Spacing
Space between lines.
- 1.0 (Single)
- 1.15 (Default)
- 1.5 or 2.0 (Double)
Indentation
Moving text from margins.
- First Line: Paragraph start (`Tab`).
- Hanging: References list (`Ctrl + T`).

The "Copy-Paste" for Formatting!
- Single Click: Apply once.
- Double Click: Apply multiple times.
- Shortcut: `Ctrl + Shift + C` (Copy) / `Ctrl + Shift + V` (Paste).

Why use Styles (Heading 1, Normal, etc.)?

Consistency: Entire doc looks professional.

Efficiency: Change one style, update everywhere.

Format a Raw Document
Open `raw_text.txt` (Download Sample) and apply the following:
- Set Title to **Arial, 16pt, Bold, Centered**.
- Set Body text to **Times New Roman, 12pt, Justified**.
- Set Line Spacing to **1.5**.
- Apply **First Line Indent** to all paragraphs.
- Use **Format Painter** to style subheadings.
